HALLWAY
COURTESY AND SAFETY
Appropriate student behavior in the halls leads to a positive school
climate. Therefore, students are expected to:
Be
courteous.
Walk
carefully on the right hand side of the hallway and stairs.
Stop
and talk only in the Red Zone of the carpet.
Show
respect for the rights and property of others.
Keep
hands, feet, and unkind words to yourself at all times.
No food
or drinks in the halls.
To
ensure academic focus, students must move quickly to their lockers, and
must quickly walk to their next class.
LIBRARY
The library has lots of books,
magazines, reference materials, and computers for student use. If you
need to use the library during class time you should:
Have
a pass
Sign
in at the library
Have your pass
stamped before leaving the library
Return
immediately to class.
To use the library during lunch,
please remember to:
Get
a library lunch pass from a lunch supervisor.
Please
be respectful of other students who are in the library.
Students are also welcome to use the library before
and after school. Please check with Ms. Runyan for time and
availability.
LOCKERS
Each student will be assigned a
locker. Lockers are the property of Spokane Public School and may be
opened by school authorities. Frequent inspections will be made by
teachers to see that lockers are kept neat and orderly.
Use
only the locker assigned to you.
Keep
your locker locked at all times.
Do not jam your locker open.
All
personal items and books, when not in use, are to be kept in lockers.
Backpacks, book bags, jackets and hats are to be kept in lockers.
Do not open or tamper with another locker.
DO NOT give your combination to another student (even your best friend).
Do not abuse or misuse lockers (i.e. kicking, slamming, defacing,
jamming).
