Hallways - Library - Lockers - Lost and Found

                                  HALLWAY COURTESY AND SAFETY

Appropriate student behavior in the halls leads to a positive school climate.  Therefore, students are expected to:

             Be courteous.

Walk carefully on the right hand side of the hallway and stairs.

Stop and talk only in the Red Zone of the carpet.

Show respect for the rights and property of others.

Keep hands, feet, and unkind words to yourself at all times.

No food or drinks in the halls.

To ensure academic focus, students must move quickly to their lockers, and must quickly walk to their next class.

                                                       LIBRARY

The library has lots of books, magazines, reference materials, and computers for student use.  If you need to use the library during class time you should:

     Have a pass

     Sign in at the library

Have your pass stamped before leaving the library

     Return immediately to class.

To use the library during lunch, please remember to:

Get a library lunch pass from a lunch supervisor.

Please be respectful of other students who are in the library.

Students are also welcome to use the library before and after school.  Please check with Ms. Runyan for time and availability.

                                                      LOCKERS

Each student will be assigned a locker.  Lockers are the property of Spokane Public School and may be opened by school authorities.  Frequent inspections will be made by teachers to see that lockers are kept neat and orderly.

Use only the locker assigned to you.

Keep your locker locked at all times.

Do not jam your locker open.

All personal items and books, when not in use, are to be kept in lockers.

Backpacks, book bags, jackets and hats are to be kept in lockers.

Do not open or tamper with another locker.

DO NOT give your combination to another student (even your best friend).

Do not abuse or misuse lockers (i.e. kicking, slamming, defacing, jamming).

Only appropriate items may be affixed inside lockers with magnets (tape, stickers, glue, markers or gum should not be used).

        No decorations outside of lockers.

                                                   LOST & FOUND

Lost and found is located in the Student Office.  All lost items are held for 30 days in the Student Office.  If you cannot locate your lost item in the Student Office, check with the P.E. department. Lost books are placed on the Lost Book pile in the library next to the Card Catalog computer.
