Tremendous effort goes into the critical work of custodians, but all too often, the service delivered by these professionals is under-appreciated. In 2002 Spokane Public Schools Custodial Services Department adopted the JANUS Program created by the PortionPac Chemical Corporation. This program serves as a symbol to recognize and honor our custodial staff for excellence in performing their responsibilities. This award program recognizes students in grades 5-12 who have demonstrated exemplary community service. The program was created in 1995 and is sponsored by the Prudential Financial in partnership with the National Association of Secondary School Principals.
Once you have completed your online application, print it out, sign it, have a parent or guardian sign it, and then submit it to your school principal or to the head of a Girl Scout council, county 4-H organization, American Red Cross chapter, YMCA, or member volunteer center of the Points of Light Foundation & Volunteer Center National Network.
