  Welcome to Community Relations!

Welcome to Community RelationsSpokane Public Schools believes in strong communication with employees, and the community.

We are dedicated to informative and timely communications with the public regarding academic achievement, education reform, levy/bond information, safety, diversity, technology, and budget priorities.

The Community Relations department provides Spokane Public Schools with a variety of services, tools and strategies for communicating and partnering with our community. Our staff members have expertise in customer service, media, marketing, public engagement and community outreach, and we are available to consult with schools to help promote their many wonderful programs, events and opportunities.

Media:

Using news releases, news tips, and story ideas, we maintain frequent contact with the media.

News Updates:

Staff Matters is an e-newsletter for staff. School Talk is a newsletter sent to the community with information about district activities and teacher, staff and student achievements. Bulletin Board is a monthly newsletter containing district news distributed to elementary school families. Our district’s website, updated continually, contains a multitude of brochures on district programs.

Special Events and Recognitions:

Special activities to recognize employees and celebrate educational excellence are among the Community Relations department’s responsibilities. The department also coordinates distribution of information to new Spokane residents.
