| North Central Hits a Homerun With New
Parking Area and Softball Field
North Central area residents will find more room in the streets
now that 100 parking spaces have been added for students northeast
of the school on Howard Street. Red Diamond Construction of
Spokane was awarded a contract to make the improvements. Bernardo-Wills
Architects of Spokane designed the project.
Congestion in the neighborhood due to overflow parking from
too-few student off-street parking spots will be a thing of
the past thanks to bond dollars from the 2003 school bond
passage. These students will no longer have to cross arterials
or contend with poorly lit side streets as they make their
way to and from school. |

A new improved ball field for girls’ fast- and slow-pitch
softball will greet new players next year, along with new spectator
seating giving Indian fans a great view of their favorite team.
Beginning in 2006 North Central will receive a complete renovation
of the heating, air-conditioning and ventilation systems. The new
system will create increased fresh airflow, higher efficiency, and
a healthier learning environment.
Thank you Spokane Voters for stepping up to the plate in 2003 to
make our schools a better place to learn for generations to come!
