Volunteer literacy tutors get free training

People hoping to volunteer with Spokane Public Schools need no special training.
But those who want to be literacy tutors can sit in on a free training designed to help them feel more confident in their role.

The next training session will be today from 12:30-2:30 p.m. at the South Hill Library, 3324 S. Perry. Another session will be held November 15.

Today’s training is open to everyone. Volunteer applications will be available at each site for those who have not yet completed one.

For more information, call 354-5900.
