Glover to host Lights On Afterschool!

Glover Middle School will join more than 1 million residents in 7,500 communities across America today from 6:30-8:30 p.m. for the sixth annual Lights On Afterschool! event, which calls attention to the importance of after-school programs and the resources needed to keep the lights on and doors open after school hours.

Activities for students and their families will include face painting, arts and crafts and family pictures. There will be free ice cream, and information from community agencies like the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts.

The community is invited to join the festivities at Glover, 2404 W. Longfellow.
