‘Jewel of Juilliard’ to play LC’s historic pipe organ

Spokane Public Schools, in cooperation with the Spokane Chapter of the American Guild of Organists, is co-sponsoring an organ concert on the historic Austin Pipe Organ in the Lewis and Clark High School auditorium Friday, Oct. 7, at 7:00 p.m.

The organist, Cameron Carpenter, has been called “ America's Young Organ Virtuoso” and the “Jewel of Juilliard.” Carpenter, known for his keyboarding and improvising at The Juilliard School in New York, will also play for students during the day.

The price of the concert is $10 for adults and $5 for students. Tickets are available at the LC business office, 521 W. 4th, and the district cashier's office, 200 N. Bernard. Tickets will also be available at the door the evening of the concert.
