Hi! My name is Amy Barry and I have been a School Counselor since 2009. I started my career in the Cape Flattery School District on the Olympic Peninsula and have also worked in the Puyallup and Kennewick School Districts. I have been the School Counselor at Linwood since 2013. In my school counseling program, I work to support the social/emotional, academic, and career development needs of all students in the school. My work with students may include guidance lessons, small groups, one-on-one, or responsive services. The favorite part of my job is getting to help support students, families, and staff every day.
I graduated from Whitworth University with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a minor in Spanish. I then received my Master of Education for School Counseling from WSU Tri-Cities. I love being back in Spokane and getting to enjoy the beautiful scenery around the area. When I’m not at school I enjoy photography, hiking, and reading.
