Volunteer

  • Spokane Public Schools recruits and trains community members to serve in a variety of volunteer roles, such as general classroom assistants, field trip chaperones or academic tutors. 

    ⇒ All volunteers are required to register with the SPS Volunteer Program. Applications may be scanned and e mailed to volunteerservices@spokaneschools.org, or dropped off and any school.

    The volunteer application permits a thorough criminal history review through the Washington State Patrol and other criminal databases. Applications can take three to seven days for processing. The school will be notified once you have been approved.

    Applications that do not provide a thorough explanation will be returned for completion. To expedite the clearance process, please include copies of any legal documentation that would apply to any dropped or dismissed charges. If your application is rejected, we will mail the rejection letter with our explanation. If you have questions or clarification regarding your letter of rejection, please call 509.354.7340 or 509.354.7277.
