Introduction

What Is It?
The Culminating Project is a graduation requirement that gives students the opportunity to connect school to life. Students choose projects that connect to vocational, academic, service, and/or cultural interests. The CP is a journey for the student in self-awareness. This project is about the student-they own it, personalize it to their life and their interests.
These projects are the basis for students to refine and demonstrate skills they have gained in school while pursuing a personal interest.

What Are The Components Of The Culminating Project?
The Culminating Project consists of four parts:

  • Product - a product or performance, a representation of learning
  • Portfolio - all written documentation of the CP process including the body of evidence of research, letter of intent, learning log,
  • Paper - research consistent with project 5-8 pages in length and works cited page.
  • Presentation - an oral 7-8 minute presentation with reflection to a panel of at least two people
  •
