Movement Skills, Fitness & Health, Nutrition
- Demonstrate
mature form and control in locomotor activities (i.e., skipping,
hopping, galloping and sliding)
- Identify
and demonstrate fundamental skills and movement concepts
(i.e., balancing, striking an object, space and direction)
- Engage
in moderate to vigorous structured physical activity
- Introduce
nutrition concepts (i.e., food pyramid)
Think
Analytically, Logically, Creatively
- Recognize
the physiological signs of moderate physical activity (i.e.,
fast heart rate, rapid breathing)
- Apply,
with teacher reinforcement, classroom rules, procedures
and safe practices
- Recognize
that skill development requires practice
Understand,
Demonstrate, Communicate
- Participate
in activities that require some physical exertion and/or
skill development, outside the regularly scheduled Fitness
& Health class (i.e., minimum 40 minutes each week with
classroom teacher)

with students, by sharing space and equipment, regardless
of personal differences (i.e., race, gender, disability)
Incorporate
Innovative Technologies
- Integrate
a variety of technologies (when available) as it applies
to improving content learning, and the learning of specific
skills (i.e., can launch an application program, video camera/recorder)

Fitness & Health Concepts
- Identify
