Libby's
Special Education Center is home to special design programs
serving moderately to severely
handicapped secondary students. Students receive
educational services through classroom, general vocational
courses and a production workshop. The goal of these
programs is the same as in other district classrooms -
to train students to function successfully in their future
environment. Each Libby student in the special design
programs has an individual education plan applicable to
the student's abilities. Instructional programs
review the vocational, community orientation, socialization,
functional academic, and leisure skill needs of each student.
The special design programs at Libby are intensive and
effective in supporting the community's special needs
citizens.
