The
Libby Technology Center provides a variety of learning
opportunities for Spokane Public
Schools students, staff, and members of the community.
The center consists of six full labs of networked Macintosh
and Gateway Computers with Internet access. Each
lab has auxiliary equipment: scanners, video cameras,
color printers, instructor presentation stations and a
full complement of software to support the creation of
comprehensive multi-media projects. Virtually every
day, even during our summer academies, you are likely
to see a variety of busy technology related activities
such as:
- Field
Trips - A teacher and a class working on a curriculum-related
project using a computer lab to do research, create
visuals for a presentation, or make print-outs of
a writing assignment.
- Staff
Training - Staff taking a district-sponsored class
to help them be more productive in their work settings.
- Teacher
Training - Teachers taking classes after school
to learn how to infuse technology into their grade
level curriculum.
