Welcome to Ridgeview Elementary!

You have joined a school with a strong, compassionate, and driven staff who are committed to supporting each other and dedicated to providing a caring, safe learning environment with high academic and behavior expectations for our students. We are thrilled that you have chosen to join our Ridgeview family!

Ridgeview Elementary’s positive school culture is built on principles of PBIS and embodies strong collaboration among our teachers, open communication and solid partnerships with families of our students and the Spokane community. We believe every child has the ability to learn and excel, and we work as a team for the best interests of our students. Ridgeview has approximately 300 students in grades K-5. Many of our staff members have worked here for several years and have close ties to the community.

Ridgeview’s success depends on it’s dedicated staff, family, and community involvement. There are many opportunities for you to volunteer support our school. We have an active Parent Teacher Organization (PTO), and we would love for you to be involved. Ridgeview hosts numerous annual events including: Bingo events, school carnival, pancake feed, the Ridgeview Fund Run, and more. We also encourage students to participate in community service activities with coat drives, food drives, and fund raisers for local charities. Students have opportunities to be involved in extracurricular activities such as Computer Coding, Robotics, Chess, world languages, and sports, including Cross Country, Basketball, and Bloomsday training. We hope to bring back even more opportunities for our students in the future.   

We are also very fortunate to have neighborhood groups and businesses supporting our school. Northview Christian Church of Christ supports Ridgeview with clothing and mentors. We also have a partner in Washington Trust Bank, which provides several of our students with Bites2Go, a weekend food program. Other partnerships include Liberty Tax, Highland Park United Methodist Church, Generation Alive, and Hifumi Society and Growing Neighbors who support our community garden. A huge THANK YOU to our community supports.

The mission of our school community is to provide all students with a purposeful and meaningful education that will prepare them to become productive citizens and life-long learners. The staff members, in collaboration with parents, consider it their mission to set high standards that will ensure every child is given the opportunity and training to meet or exceed the expectations developed by our school, school district and state.
