Fondra Magee

  • My name is Fondra Magee and I am very fortunate and blessed to serve as school counselor at Stevens Elementary! I received my Bachelor's degree from Union University in Jackson, TN in Elementary Education and was very blessed to teach Kindergarten and 2nd grade in wonderful school districts in TN and LA for many years. While teaching school, I began pursuing a degree that would allow me to better meet the social and emotional needs of students. I obtained my Masters of Education in School Counseling from Southeastern Louisiana University in Hammond, LA and began a career as an elementary school counselor!

    The elementary school years set the foundation for developing the knowledge, attitudes and skills necessary for children to become healthy, competent and confident learners. Elementary school counselors have an impact on these years by implementing a school counseling program and collaborating with school staff, parents and the community to create a safe and respectful learning environment. By providing education, prevention, early identification and intervention, elementary school counselors help their students achieve academic success, develop an understanding of career opportunities and develop social/ emotional skills in response to issues they face.

    I think I have the BEST job in the entire world and can't wait to come to Stevens Elementary each morning to see the amazing students and staff at this incredible school!! Stop in and see me sometime and don't hesitate to call with any concerns you may have.
