Notes: Original in the Louvre, Paris. This statue is a typical representation of the goddess of the chase. She is clad in a robe of many folds. With the right hand she reaches backward, over her shoulder, to draw an arrow from her quiver. Such a pose builds a curve around which the rhythm of the whole figure is composed.Gettysburg Address
