TONER CARTRIDGE PRICING MATRIX

Purchasing has compiled a matrix to assist you in placing printer toner cartridge orders with reputable firms.  This system has worked well for our school and department sites for the past six years.  Therefore, a Toner Pricing Information Request for Proposal was issued this past July and the following matrix has been compiled with new pricing information for the 2008-2009 fiscal year. 

ITSC has recommended that toner cartridges being purchased for district printers be new production, therefore, that is what we have listed on this matrix.  ITSC has found that while some of the remanufactured products are less expensive, there have been problems with their quality and consistent page yields.  If you are in doubt as to whether to purchase new or remanufactured cartridges, please contact ITSC for their advice.

This table has the lowest priced new production HP brand cartridge highlighted in red.  You may notice that some of the vendors have lower pricing when offering alternative brands.  It is your decision whether you wish to order HP cartridges or other OEM compatible brands.  When ordering from School Specialty, please reference Bid No. 2008199131SS when placing your order and use the product number provided on the matrix.  This will assure you get their posted bid pricing.  Also, because they hold the current “Office Supplies” contract for the district, you may access Kershaw’s for any toner cartridge requirements. (Please call them directly for the current HP pricing offered to the district.)   If you wish to order from Staples, please call Pam in purchasing (7127) and she will email you the instructions provided by the vendor.

All of the prices posted on this matrix are firm for the 2008-09 fiscal year and includes the cost of delivery.  Remember, this pricing includes all shipping and handling fees - do not pay extra for standard shipping or for any additional “fuel surcharge” listed on any invoice. 

Please do not order from anyone placing random phone calls. If you do receive a call, tell them the district has a process in place for toner cartridge business and if they are interested in being on next year's bidding list, they may call purchasing at 354-7127.
