  Safety Services provides health and safety services related to inspections, investigations, and resolutions relating to indoor air quality, accidents, hazardous waste removal, and construction related matters. Provide safety trainings as well as Safety Patrol Training

Secretarial-Clerical Support: Susan McDaniel , Secretary • 354-7320
Perform secretarial duties and clerical support for the Director of Safety and Risk Management, Transportation Liaisons and safety staff. Coordinate all calls regarding critical incidents and/or crisis. Coordinate first aid/CPR classes for district employees, maintain budget and policy and procedures manual, prepare and process payroll, track fire drills and safety meetings of all district sites, backup for Security Department for fingerprinting, I-9 clearance and photo ID badges. Process insurance reports/claims.

SAFETY SERVICES

Industrial Hygienist: Lynda Martin   • 354-4634
Responsible for providing accident investigations; worker safety consultation; indoor air quality investigations; hazardous waste and hazardous material management; ergonomic evaluations; job safety analyses; laboratory safety coordination; health & safety policy, procedure, and program development; and project plan reviews. 

Worker Compensation Claims Technician: Lynn Pearson • 354-4633
Responsible for reviewing and processing of Workers’ Compensation claims. Coordinate return to work with injured employee, health care providers and supervisors; liaison with third party administration of workers’ compensation program; safety training; accident investigations; and reduction of claims.

Safety Specialist: Gailen Luce • 354-4635
Responsible for investigating student, staff and visitor injuries; reviewing and assessing injury reports; performing or coordinating safety training; coordinating safety projects; project plan reviews; facilities safety inspections; playground safety assessments; and health & safety policy, procedure, and program development.
