KSPS-TV is a full service public broadcast telecommunications facility licensed to Spokane Public Schools. In addition to a 24-hour schedule of public television programs airing on Channel 7, KSPS-TV houses the Educational Instructional Cable Center in partnership with a consortium of institutional members, the City of Spokane and TCI Cable. KSPS provides the following service in support of District schools:

Educational/Instructional Cable: Di Taylor - Cable lTV Traffic Specialist • 354-7695
Coordinates the request, scheduling and playback of over 5000 hours of cable television programs
which enhance and enrich classroom instruction. Two channels deliver a fixed schedule of
programs to K-6 classrooms between 8:00 am and 3:30pm. An additional two channels are used
to playback a schedule of call-in or teacher requested programs for individual classroom use at the
middle and high school levels. Catalog and resource materials are distributed through Library
Media Coordinators. A monthly newsletter distributed from KSPS highlights PBS programs of
interest.

Program Marketing and Outreach: Kerry Faggiano - Manager, Promotion &
Outreach • 354-7748

KSPS provides a daily pre-school children's programming service called "Ready To Learn." The
outreach department interacts with a number of children's day care and service provider agencies
to assist them in using programming content as a tool for learning instead of just passive viewing.
Printed materials and books are made available as resources to children at various day and
service care provider facilities.
