The concept of weather
has fascinated humans throughout history. It is the “science”
we encounter each and every day of our lives. We feel heat,
see lightning, hear wind blow, smell rain, sense air pressure
and know that so much of what we do is dependent on the weather.
Weather as a study becomes more difficult when one is challenged
to explain just exactly what a cloud is, or why the wind blows,
or even why there is weather at all. This unit is about becoming
more familiar with the science of weather.
