Northwest National Service Symposium

We would like to
congratulate our three VISTA members who have been selected to attend
the 13th annual Northwest National Service Symposium on
May 11th and 12th at
Portland State University.
-
Marilee Bailey, Ashley Doane and Rachel all submitted original literary works that will be published in the Stories of Service book collection of symposium projects. All accepted projects will receive recognition and a project synopsis.
What is the Symposium?
- An opportunity to submit writing, artwork, and/or
performance pieces reflective of your service experience
in a contest setting.
- An opportunity to publish your writing. All of the
accepted symposium writing submissions will appear in
the annual Stories of Service collection, which
is distributed to everyone who attends the symposium
event.
- An event in which 300 national service participants
from across Washington and Oregon gather for two days at
Portland State University to share their projects,
reflect on the service experience, and attend sessions
led by your peers in service. The event takes place May
12-13, 2008.
