Ashley Doane

I grew up in Kennewick, Washington. I have been involved with students since high school as a youth leader in my church and with other organizations. My AmeriCorps placement is at the Women’s and Children Free Restaurant located in the United Methodist Church on north Monroe in Spokane. I coordinate many of the programs that bring free meals to women and their children in a comfortable family setting at this centrally located church. I have always had an interest in helping others and AmeriCorps allows me to make a positive impact on children in the schools and community I live. I am excited to work with middle school students teaching them disaster preparedness skills through the SERT program.
