I was born and raised in Spokane, Washington. I transferred to Western Washington University after graduating with my AAS at SFCC. My time at Western gave nurtured my desire to help others while giving me insight on the politics of American culture. After graduating in 2006 with my BA in photography and women’s studies I spent a year working a low key job and then found out about AmeriCorps. I was hooked right away. I believe my time in AmeriCorps will help to further my passion for social justice as well as raise my confidence in my abilities to be an advocate for change.
