I have volunteered and worked in two different non-profit agencies over the past two years, first at People First of Washington and then at The Arc of Spokane where I am at now. I volunteered there for a year before coming on board as a VISTA. People asked me during my first year at the ARC why do you volunteer so much…. My answer to them is because I love to help people. Social service work is my passion. I believe that at some point in everyone’s life they should volunteer to give back to their communities. I came to Spokane from England with my family in 91’ and have lived here since and just love Spokane! |
