I was born 22 years ago in Lovelock, Nev. and moved to Winnemucca, Nev. when I was five, where I spent the rest of my adolescence. I came to Spokane after high school to go to Whitworth University, where I graduated in May 2007 with a BA in English with an emphasis in creative writing. I am also a Kundiman fellow and am passionate about issues of social justice, poetry, working with youth and the points where all these intersect. I am excited to be working with middle school students and equipping them with skills which will prepare them for anything life may throw their way, and empower them as well.
