Substitute Resources

Welcome to Spokane Public Schools!

On behalf of the district, I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for serving as a substitute for Spokane Public Schools. You are an integral part of our mission to develop the skills and talents of our students through rigorous learning experiences, relevant real-life applications and supportive relationships.  With academic achievement and accountability at the forefront of education, it is imperative that we have high-quality, child-centered substitutes who can join us in helping our students reach their highest potential. As a substitute, you help us to continue this important work when the regular educator or staff member cannot be present.
We also recognize that, as a substitute, your experiences can be challenging as you navigate through various environments.  For your assistance, we have provided many informational resources on the district website at http://www.spokaneschools.org/SubResources/.  We encourage you to browse and use our website as a resource.  You will find that most of your questions can be answered quickly and easily by using the information prepared by the substitute office staff.  Monthly updates are also provided regarding paychecks and important district or substitute matters.
Again, thank you for your interest in working for Spokane Public Schools as a substitute.  Together, we can ensure that each child has an excellent educational experience.

Sincerely,

Angela R. Brown
