The main focus of this course is to prepare students to successfully complete the advanced placement computer science examination (A) given by the College Board. This examination requires students to master not only traditional programming techniques, but also to problem solve using computer science concepts discussed in this course. While the exam limits students to hand written answers, programming time on the microcomputer is essential. Opportunities for both individual and group work is encouraged at various times throughout the year.
