High School Libraries Mission

The high school libraries strive to be an integral part of the school's total instructional program. They are designed to provide comprehensive support, instruction and materials to all high school students and faculty. Our mission is to make students independent and effective users of information.

Lessons on information retrieval skills are planned and taught jointly by the librarian and classroom teachers. These lessons are integrated into the curriculum. Classes receive appropriate instruction before and during research activities. Students master research skills which are reinforced during subsequent visits to the library.
