Concert
Etiquette
Performing in front of an audience requires
a great deal of focus and concentration on the part of the
musicians. In an effort to assist our students in performing to the
best of their abilities, please follow the courtesies listed below:
- Please no flash photography during
performances
- Please try to avoid walking in and out
during the concert. If it is urgent please make sure no groups
are performing while you are moving
- If you have infants or toddlers, please
sit near the exist should it become necessary to take your child
outside in the event he/she becomes restless or disruptive
- Please remain for the duration of the
entire concert, thereby being audience and showing support for
all of the performers.
- Please, no talking during a performance
- Please do not fold, crumple or tear up
your programs. The noise can be extremely distracting to
performers as well as others around you.
Thank you for your cooperation, as well
as your continued support of these talented young musicians.
Fundraising
As with any program that goes beyond the
expected, our program requires funds that are not readily available
through the School District. This extraordinary program deserves the
support of the parents of LC in order to continue offering the
quality of instruction and learning experience that our children
deserve. Especially this year, with budget cuts as well as
enrollment in our entire school district being down, the need is
greater than ever. Annually the IMPA raises funds through a variety
of fundraisers.
- FALL: Entertainment books. These
books are a wonderful way to support the school as well as save
money on dining, travel, entertainment and more. This is our
largest fundraiser of the year and helps with uniforms,
professional instruction for sections and entry fees to
competitions and festivals. There are still a limited number of
Entertainment Books available. If you are interested in one of
them, please contact Eileen Williams (loudfam@comcast.net).
Fall also will see the kids selling cookie dough. This fabulous
dough come is pre-measured frozen servings or also a tub of
dough. This is a great buy for your holiday entertaining.
- SPRING: In the spring we will
host the annual car wash. What a great way to get the grit and
grime of winter off your car and support the LC Music Programs
at the same time.
