  • Calculator - scientific suggested, graphing preferred (TI-84 is the preferred model)

Important Dates & Events
 

Schedules

  • Schedules will be mailed on the afternoon of Tuesday, August 19th

  • Students with errors in their schedule can come on Friday, August 22nd (from 8:30-11:30 and 1:30-3:00) and leave a note for their counselor. Due to the number of changes in the past, counselors will not be meeting one on one with students. All changes will be handled via written note.

  • This time is ONLY for errors - requests for teachers and moving of classes cannot be accommodated.

  • Schedule errors include missing periods, inappropriate placement (a 9th grader in an 11th grade English class), etc

Registration
  • Begins Monday, August 25 (8:30-11:00 am & 1:00-2:30 pm)

  • This is for all new students - current LC students and incoming 9th graders are already registered.

9th Grade Parent Night

  • Wednesday, August 27 (6:00 pm)

  • All 9th grade parents are welcome to come learn about LC.

Fall Sports Parent Meeting
  • Thursday, August 28 (6:30pm)

  • Parents of ALL Fall Sports, please join administrators and coaches for the season kick-off.

  • Breakout sessions for each sport to be followed by the general session

9th Grade Orientation
  • Friday, August 29 (9:45 am – 12:45 pm)

  • All 9th graders are encouraged to come meet their teachers and get to know the school.

1st Day of School
  • Tuesday, September 2, 2008 (8:00 am)
    Upon arrival at school, find one of the Orange & Black posters. This will tell you where your 1st period class is located. Your 1st period teacher will give you a new copy of your schedule. This will be the most up to date version. Your yellow schedules will no longer be valid.

  • If you are taking an Honors or AP English class, be sure to have your summer assignment ready to go on the first day of school.

 

New Student Registration

August 25 – August 29

8:30 – 11:30 and 1:30 – 2:30

No appointments, walk-ins only

Student must live in the Lewis and Clark attendance area (if the parent is not sure if their address is in the LC attendance area, please check the on the District Transportation web site or forward the call to Melanie or Marcia).

What to bring:

  • Parent /Guardian should be here with the student for completing paper work and talking to the counselor for schedule of classes.

  • Proof of address in the Lewis and Clark attendance area.

  • All students must bring their immunization records or have their previous school fax the info to 354-6973.

  • 10, 11, & 12th graders – transcript from previous high school is helpful. If student does not have a transcript, instruct student or parent to contact the old school and ask the school to fax the transcript to LC – 354-6973.

  • 9th graders – transcripts from middle school are not required but if they have any report cards/grade reports from 8th grade that may be very helpful for the counselor.

  • Does your student have an IEP (special education program)? If possible, a copy of the IEP is very helpful.
