How It's
Done

The
old PAPER BACKING is removed
|

NAILS are
removed
|

The FRAME is
carefully scraped of paper and glue
|

Soap and
Water assists in cleansing the frame
|
|
|
STAIN or WAX
enhances the frame
|
|
|
The GLASS is
carefully scraped of caked on dust and
dirt
|
|
|
CRASH!!
Imperfections in the OLD GLASS weakens it

|
OLD MATS are
faded and removed
|
|
|
NEW MATS
brighten the prints
|
|
|
STAPLE mats,
print and glass into place
|
|
|
CLAMPS are
sometimes used to position staples
|
|
|
PAPER on the
back helps seal everything
|
|
|
WIRE is
attached to hang picture
|
|
|
TWIST the
wire into place
|
|

The
history of the print is recorded and
attached to the back
