LC again ranks among best US high schools

For the second year in a row, Lewis and Clark High School is considered one of the top high schools in the nation, based on a ranking by Newsweek.

“The magic in education is great teaching,” said LC Principal Jon Swett. “The LC teaching staff continues to work very hard to meet the needs of all our students at every level."

To compile the list, public schools are ranked according to a ratio: the number of Advanced Placement or International Baccalaureate tests taken by all students at a school in 2004 divided by the number of graduating seniors.

This year, LC was number 665. Last year, it was number 687.
