Lewis & Clark High School Mission

The mission of Lewis and Clark High School is to create and maintain an environment which ensures all students reach a high level of academic achievement that can be verified by objective measures, and which furthers positive intellectual, physical, ethical, and social development.

Lewis and Clark High School is a school that:

systematically helps students to develop and achieve a vision and a purpose for their education

helps students to master the competencies needed to be successful

develops cooperative, responsible relationships among students, staff, family, and community

facilitates positive student contributions to the community

provides a safe and positive learning environment

respects and provides for individual differences

    WHAT MAKES LC SO SPECIAL...

Lewis & Clark prides itself as a quality high school promoting individual diversity, personal responsibility, and respect for all. We strive for high academic standards within a caring and supportive environment.

Presently, we are focused on improving student learning in relationship to the state goals and three of those of the Spokane School District. Several committees made up of a partnership of staff members, parents, and students are diligently exploring options to meet the changing needs of today's high school student with the above goals in mind.

We are thankful for an active PTSG, a strong Booster Club, and a network of dedicated parent volunteers...all of us finding wisdom and direction in the African proverb : "It takes a whole village to raise a child."
