PTSG September 10, 2007 meeting minutes

Rick Noll, President, called the meeting to order at 5:35 p.m. Members introduced themselves.  The minutes from the May 7, 2007 meeting were read and approved.

It was noted that there were no signs for the PTSG meeting.  Rick Noll said he would get signs made for the next meeting with the room number on them.

The themes for the monthly meetings were discussed.  Several ideas were presented:

·         Meet the new principal - October

·         Surviving the High School years from parents and students – November

·         Senior project – December

·         Input on new Superintendent with School Board member – January

Other ideas suggested:

·         Student ideas for the school

·         School budget

The freshman night party was discussed.  The date was changed from September 12 to September 26.  Fran said she had everything she needed for the party and had enough volunteers.  Fran wanted to know what the budget should be.  There were extra charges because the notices for the party needed to be reprinted.  Emily Liu asked if the students could provide information on the different student clubs.  Fran said she would work out a way to do it with Emily.

The open house (October 3rd) participation by the PTSG was discussed.  It was suggested that we hand out pre-printed forms for the parents to record instructor’s names, e-mail addresses, and phone numbers.  Fran said she would draft up a form and e-mail to Rick.

The meeting was adjourned at 6:30 p.m.
