About Our Work

Hill and Crevola (1999) propose the following set of beliefs to guide educational systemic change:

  • "All students can achieve high standards, given significant time and support.
  • All teachers can teach to high standards, given the right conditions and assistance.
  • High expectations and early intervention are essential.
  • Teachers need to learn all the time, and they need to be able to articulate both what they do and why they do it."

The critical foundation for our work is developing an educational framework that includes: 1) clear, high-level standards, 2) curriculum that ties effectively to those standards, and 3) a range of formative and summative assessments that inform teacher practice. In addition, we support teacher learning and practice through an ongoing process of thoughtful reflection about practice and revision. Our goal is to provide a professional learning process that yields ..."predictable, continuous benefits for teachers and students" (Fullan, Hill & Crevola, 2006).
