Textile Drive

Salk Middle School is hosting a Clothing & Textile Drive!

Now through April 15, 2014 – This special collection event can make a big difference in raising funds to enhance the learning environment of our students through activities, field trips and other events.   We will be collecting throughout the weekdays if you want to drop your bags off before, during or after school  –OR-  April 15th at the school dance at Shadle High.

Wake Up Early: Salk's African Drums and KHQ-6 (Date TBD)

New Date coming soon!  While you are getting ready for school, tune in to KHQ-6. They will be doing a feature on the African Drums class at Salk Middle School.

Staff vs Staff Basketball (6:30 pm @ Shadle Park High School)

Game On! 
Are you ready for the annual staff vs staff basketball game?  Will you be cheering for the Super Heroes or they Super Villains?  Come join the fun and watch your favorite Salk Staff members in the ultimate basketball showdown.  A special thank you to our PAC group for sponsoring the event and our celebrity coaches from the Gonzaga University Basketball team.  Game starts at 6:30 pm, tickets sold at the door.

Kindness Matters

Two of our most spirited and kind Salk Spartans showing us that character counts and kindness matters. 
Spartan Pride
  In response to a house fire of a student at a neighboring middle school, our Salk Spartans rallied to put together gift baskets and deliver them to the middle school with Principal Meyer.  Hats off to our wonderful students at Salk, you continue to make us all proud!

A special thank you to all of you that joined us for the T24 evening.  With presenters from middle school, high school, 2 and 4 year Colleges and Universities, as well as presenters from over 25 professional fields in and around Spokane, our current and future Salk Spartans had the opportunity to peek into the future and explore some of the possibilities that are made possible through education.  Way to go Spartan Community!
