Band
BAND AT SHADLE PARK
Shadle has a complete band program. Wind players (brass and woodwinds) can sign up for Band. Percussion students participate in Percussion class. There is NO requirement to march in the fall for wind players. Every band member attends all home football games. Percussion class members all participate in the marching season. Throughout the year, when possible, wind and percussion players can also play with the orchestra. Jazz band is for saxophone, trombone, trumpet, piano, bass, guitar, and drum set players. Jazz band is an audition class that meets before school each day '0' hour from 7:40 - 8:25. All band students can also participate in pep band for basketball games. Pep Band is a volunteer group. Students can take band for all four years.
Students can be in any sport and be in band. Band does not interfere with any aspect of being a student at Shadle Park.
