Shadle Park High School Instrumental Music Program

The Shadle Park Marching Band is made up of those percussion, band, and color guard students who wish to march. While not a required activity, the marching band provides entertainment at home football games and competes in a field show or two each fall. Members form a bond through summer band camp and two rehearsals after school each week in the six week fall marching season.

The Shadle marching band has won first place in their division at the Northwest Marching Band Championships (the last time in 2002), and was the sweepstakes winner at the Columbia Basin Marching Band Festival in 2000, 2001, and 2006. In 2002, the final time the Lilac Parade was judged, the Shadle band won the AAAA division.
