The Board of Directors of Spokane Public Schools formally adopted the operating budget for the 2014-2015 school year on August 13, 2014, after several months of planning. State funding is the largest revenue source for funding public schools in Washington State. As such, the additional support received from the State Legislature this year has allowed Spokane Schools to make critical new investments in the classroom and student support, employee compensation, instructional and program leadership, and strategic plan initiatives.
