The Career Centers assist all students to explore, plan and prepare for future occupations uniquely suited to them.  The centers have a wealth of resources and information just waiting for you to discover.  Come and explore the many services provided including:

  • up-to-date information about  technical and professional employment opportunities
  • self-assessment tools and interest inventories
  • successful approaches to resume, job interviews, and job shadow experiences
  • national lists and descriptions of universities, colleges and institutes
  • ways to access financial aid and scholarships

SAT/ACT/AP Testing

The career centers have information about SAT/ACT/AP testing and preparation.  Students can prepare by using computer resources and attending a workshop.  Please call or see your Career Specialist for more information and visit the career center website of your respective school.

Career Planning Folders

A Career Planning Folder is maintained for each student.   The student can record and keep up-to-date information in this folder such as:

  • Class ranking and GPA for each semester
  • College entrance test scores
  • Personal, school and work interests
  • Other interests resulting from interest surveys taken at school
  • Plans for education and training beyond high school
  • A self-evaluation of basic academic skills and critical work skills looked for by employers
  • Complete four year planning outline
