    Clubs and Extra Curricular Opportunities 2023-24

  • Tennis - Participants practice at Hart Field under the supervision of Amber Eastham- 354-5470  TUESDAY & THURSDAY only from 3:30-5:30 pm- Start date in September 19th

    Drill Team Club (6th, 7th and 8th Boys & Girls)- No dance or drill experience necessary.  Come and meet new friends while learning routines. Drill performs in such events as Basketball halftimes, convocations, and Jr. Lilac Parade in May.

    Girls Weight Club Come get stronger with other girls at Sacajawea! You will have access to the fitness center, where you will learn proper form for excercises, and we will run through different workouts.  Open to girls in all grades.

    Photography Club-  Are you interested in photography? Have you ever wanted to learn how to use a DSLR camera or how to edit photos in Adobe Premire Pro? If so, this is the club for you. We purchased 6 new Canon EOS Rebel T7 camera kits. We will spend time getting to know how to use the settings on this style of camera. We will then learn how to take those pictures into Adobe Premier Pro and edit them. 

    Community Club    We are the Sacajawea Thunderbirds Community Club. We believe in learning and growing by celebrating our diversity and learning about ourselves and others. We are committed to creating a community of support, dignity, knowledge, and action. We strive to amplify underrepresented groups and spread messages of a positive nature

    Show Choir- Enjoy singing? Want to incorporate some simple choreography with that love of singing – join the Show Choir! This is a great way to meet new friends and rehearse for performances in February at River Park Square for First Friday and at Future Thunderbird Parent Night! 

    Homework Club - This club is in Final Forms but Counselors/Admin will add students…..limited capacity ONLY for students who want to take advantage of this opportunity. ELD Homework Club open to students in Ms. Chambers/Ms. Davies ELD programs.   

    The Writing Society - Do you love writing? The Writing Society is the club for you! Whether you like writing poetry, short stories, essays or novels, The Writing Society is a place for friends to write together and get advice from each other. Worried you aren’t a strong writer? All you need is a desire to grow as a writer and enjoy other’s creations. 

    Strategy Game Club (6th, 7th and 8th graders) - We are a club that plays Dungeons and Dragons 5E. We learn to approach different situations with creative thought-out solutions while letting your imagination run within a completely role-playing world. Create your own character while playing alongside your peers to create an unforgettable story! 

    Spirit Club - Do you love attending sporting events and cheering on your Sac Thunderbirds? Join our Spirit Club. This club will begin again on January 24th at our first home basketball game. Students will meet in Mr. Byryan'ts room (232) right after school. There will be time for homework and/or a couple of spirit activities before the basketball game begins at 4:30 p.m. Mr. Bryant will supervise spirit club students at the game until the 5:30 p.m. activity bus for Zum riders.

    Cooking Club (6th, 7th and 8th Graders) Do you love cooking or want to learn? Beginners and those who want to learn some new techniques can join cooking club!  Meets every other Monday starting February 5th. Bus available at 4:30 for Zum Riders!
