Auto Tech: Video Overview
Grade Level: 11, 12
Credits: 3 per year (1.5 per semester)
Location: NEWTech Rm. 104 & Rm. 120
Duration: 1080 Hours: 540 hours (year-long) with an optional Year Two 540-hour course available
Program Description:
This NATEF/AYES accredited course offers entry-level employment skills for students. The program is taught by ASE certified technicians with many years of automotive repair and diagnostic experience. Classrooms and shops are equipped with state-of-the-art equipment and training tools. Industry partners offer input regarding the training needs of today’s entry-level technicians. Summer internships and job placement opportunities may be available to top students.
A second year of training is available and concentrates on live work and advanced training. In the 2022-2023 school year, Mr. Botnen will be offering light diesel repair along within his Auto Tech curriculum.

Prerequisite(s):
Year One Course - Junior or Senior standing
Year Two Course - B or better in Year 1 course and instructor's approvalCertifications: First Aid, and Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification (10 Exams Possible)
