Graphic Design: Video Overview
Grade Level: 11, 12
Credits: 3 per year (1.5 per semester)
Location: NEWTech - Rm. S109
Duration: 1080 hours (540 hours = 1 year) with an optional second-year for qualifying students.
Program Description:
This 1080-hour course (Year 1 and 2) allows students to learn about a variety of careers within the Graphic Design field and demonstrate basic technical skills required of a Graphic Designer. The classroom environment emulates the professional environment of the Graphic Design industry setting, and all students engage in hands-on learning
In this course, students will have the opportunity to:
- Show off creative and artistic talents using the same advanced software and techniques as industry professionals
- Design and produce dynamic marketing projects and bold visual communications using the Adobe Master Suite
Additional emphasis is placed on work readiness, interpersonal communication, problem solving skills, and professionalism in the workplace.

Year One Course - Junior or Senior standing
Year Two Course - B or better in Year 1 course and instructor's approval
High School Credit Equivalencies: 1.0 Fine Art
