Advanced Placement (AP)

  • Exam Registration: Oct. 1 - Oct. 31

Registration is earlier than normal though the AP experience will largely remain the same - the exams will still be administered in May - but students will now commit to taking the exams in the fall instead of the spring

All AP students have a College Board account that gives them access to new free online resources from the College Board that their teachers will be using throughout the year. This account also gives students access to their previous PSAT, SAT, and AP test scores.

Each AP Exam costs $94.00. AP Seminar or Research is $142

    • If your student qualifies for Free/Reduced lunch, the State of Washington will pay 100% of testing fees.
    • We have a small budget set aside to help offset costs for families that do not qualify for Free/Reduced lunch but may still need a little help.
    • The school must submit our AP order by early November, so payments will need to be made prior to the order. If your family has extenuating circumstances preventing you from paying by the deadline, we will work together to find a solution that ensures your child can take the exams.
    • If a student registers for an exam in the fall and decides not to take the test in May there is a mandated $40 cancellation fee. Additionally, if a student decides to register after the fall registration due date, a $40 late fee will be assessed. These prices are set by College Board and are not negotiable.

Next Steps: We will open the registration and payment process October 1- 31. Students will have to commit to their exams in the College Board account AND complete the registration paperwork for payment at the school. Payments will be made to the Business Office or online through our District payment system.
