Shadle Park Class of 2020 Students and Families,
Knowing that the recent days since Governor Inslee’s announcement of statewide school closures have left many of us feeling uncertain, confused, and at times frustrated, we want to ensure you that we are there for you, navigating through these uncharted waters together as one community. Our hope is to provide the best possible experiences, opportunities, and supports to each and every one of our seniors even amidst these challenging times. This page has been created as a space to share information and updates to our 12th grade students and their families as they become available.
We have received many questions and inquiries from you including topics such as High School and Beyond Plan, credits and graduation, AP Testing, college admission, Senior Prom, and other Senior Activities. While we do not have answers to all of these questions at this time, we are working with our school district, state agencies, and others to seek clarification and determine next steps. As this information becomes available, updates will be posted to this page and, as necessary and appropriate, sent out through other communication methods including social media, emails, and phone/text messaging.
During this time, our first priority is your health and well-being. We want to ensure that you have access to the supports and resources you need to stay safe and supported. If you have specific needs (technology, food services/meals, etc.) and/or questions, please reach out to your school counselor or Mr. Dunn. We also recommend that you work, as best as is possible, to remain in contact with your teachers via email and take this time to make up any work you were behind on in your classes prior to the closing of school on Tuesday 3/17, as well as stay current in your learning given the resources provided to your by your individual teachers.
We recognize the disappointment and challenge that the closure of schools due to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) has created, and we empathize with each of you. Know that we are here to support you in any way we can. We are and always will be #ShadleStrong!
