Award Opportunities

  • New for the 2021-22 school year: Spokane Public Schools staff and students will be awarded each month for “Exceptional Excellence.” Anyone is welcome to fill out a nomination!

    Two SPS employees (one classified and one certificated) will be selected each month based on the following attributes:

    • Demonstrated leadership
    • Going above and beyond for students or peers
    • Random acts of kindness/awesomeness
    • Community involvement (in or out of schools)
    • Overcoming great odds or obstacles
    • Inspiring life stories

    Student Award

    Once a month during the school year, Superintendent Adam Swinyard will select one student to honor based on the following attributes:

    • Leadership activities
    • Accomplishments in or out of school
    • Community involvement/Service on boards
    • Random acts of kindness/awesomeness
    • Personal improvement
    • Inspiring life stories
