Being a school counselor has been my joy and my life's work. I'd like to introduce myself, Joan McCarron, your newish School Counselor. I've worked in this role for about 30 years in a variety of schools from Tacoma to the Spokane area, always in the elementary grades. For 16 years, I worked part time. I graduated from Gonzaga University. I consider being a School Counselor on of the greatest, most fun jobs on earth!
I am married and the mother of two sons, Eamonn who is 23 and Tom who is 20. My husband recently retired from his work at the House of Charity, a shelter in downtown Spokane. We are trading places now that I am working more, and he tending to the home front, dinner on the table, etc. I love this!!!!
