We welcome all 6th, 7th, 8th graders who like to learn about the great outdoors! We meet Mondays with make up meetings on Thursdays after school in room 111 from 3:30 to 5:00.
Our Fall Focus is on skills for indoor climbing and the Spring Focus is hiking! The first week's students learn & practice skills at school, then we follow with visits to Wild Walls. Spring focus is on skills to include "13 Essentials", Orienteering, Leave No Trace, and trail etiquette. The first weeks students learn during club meetings, then we follow up with scheduled hikes on local trails.
**Fall focus runs late Sept to early Dec while Spring focus runs late Mar through May. If time and resources allow, we may add a snowshoeing opportunity in the winter for students to enjoy.
Want to know more? Just ask Mrs. McCormick or stop by and pick up an application packet! Hope to see you there!
