Community Involvement

  • We are a club that is interested in being active and helping in our community.  We currently partner with a couple of outside organizations; Spokanimal and Growing Neighbors.  We also have initiatives to increase recycling in our school through composting and recycling bottles and cans.  We meet regularly on the 2nd and 4th Thursday afternoons of the month from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. unless we have a planned excursion to Spokanimal or a garden location.  In those off school grounds “field trip” type events, permission slips and information packets are sent home in advance.  Remember that you will need to arrange your own transportation after regular meetings; if you regularly ride the school bus, there will be a 4:30 p.m. late take home bus available.  If you rely on getting picked up at the school, please arrange for your ride to pick you up at 4:30 p.m. at the flagpole.  See Mr. Freeland if you have questions.

Games Club

  • Games Club is a place where kids can get together and play games face to face.  All games are welcome, and no sign up is required.  Just come ready to play and meet new friends.  Games club will begin Wednesday, November 6th.  The club will meet Wednesdays 3:30-5:30, and the activity bus will be available to bus riders after the club meets.  Students who don't regularly ride the bus will need to arrange to be picked up after the club meets.

Math Is Cool

  • We welcome all 6th, 7th & 8th grade students who like to have some fun learning about math!  We meet after school Thursday in room 224 and meet until about 4:40pm. It takes 4 members to create a team, so the more the better!  We compete in several Math Classics events & in the Annual Math is Cool event.  Most of our competitions are scheduled for winter & early spring.  If our teams do well at Classics and Championship, then we are invited to compete with All-Stars & Masters in the Spring. Want to know more?  Just ask Mrs. McCormick or come join us when we meet!  Hope to see you there!
