Spanish 1- Full Year
The first year is a highly communicative introduction to the language. As a student, you will learn to understand and converse in real life situations using authentic expressions. You will be reading short stories and articles, learning to pronounce the language, and writing everything from postcards to paragraphs. As you immerse yourself in the culture and customs of the language, you will begin to develop an appreciation of its music, art, foods, and folklore. This is a course for high school credit.

AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) – Full Year
AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) is a national program designed to support and assist selected students with college preparatory curriculum that emphasizes analytical writing, note-taking, organization, public speaking, collaboration, community service reading and research. The mission of AVID is to close the achievement gap by preparing all students for college readiness and success in a global society.

The yearbook publications elective class offers students a creative opportunity to document and celebrate their school's memorable moments throughout the year. Participants learn essential skills in photography, graphic design, writing, and teamwork as they collaborate to produce a visually appealing and cohesive yearbook. The course emphasizes storytelling through images and text, encouraging students to capture the essence of their school community. By the end of the year, students not only develop valuable skills but also create a lasting keepsake that reflects their shared experiences and achievements. Application Required

In the Publications elective class, students will embark on an engaging journey to create a monthly school newsletter. This hands-on course will teach them essential skills in writing, editing, and design while encouraging collaboration and creativity.
