Middle school Career Technical Education (CTE) courses are exploratory, covering STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math), Video Production, and Publishing. They allow students to explore various options and potentially discover career passions. These hands-on courses enhance classroom engagement, foster collaboration, inspire "aha!" moments, and deepen comprehension. Additionally, middle school CTE exposes students to college and career pathways, equipping them with transferable skills essential for success in high school and beyond. By making learning relevant to real-world scenarios, CTE connects academics with practical applications, helping students link their education to future career opportunities.

In high school, all courses are categorized into one of the 16 nationally recognized Career Clusters, which group jobs and industries by related skills or products/services. Courses typically progress from exploratory to preparatory stages, offering opportunities such as dual credit (college credit), industry certifications, internships, or apprenticeships. Specifically, three- and four-course CTE pathways culminate in preparatory courses where students can earn post-secondary credits and valuable Industry Recognized Certifications (IRCs). Course offerings can vary based on school facilities, staff expertise, and student interest.

 Students can tailor their educational path through a "Personalized Pathway," substituting elective courses to meet graduation requirements aligned with their post-high school career or educational goals, as outlined in their High School and Beyond Plan. Career Technical Education (CTE) courses can substitute for requirements in Art, Math, ELA, Science, and World Languages. CTE provides state-approved sequences of courses that offer an alternative to passing state assessments for graduation requirements.
